Ethel Arabelia Rawles (née Hart; 15 April 1885 – 5 August 1995) was an American supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2022.
Biography[]
Ethel Rawles was born as Ethel Arabelia Hart in Dawson Springs, Hopkins, Kentucky, United States on 15 April 1885. Her parents were Thomas Lanville Chester Hart and Mildred Jane Miller.
At the age of 5, Rawles moved to Manatee County, Florida. She married Edward W. Rawles on 29 January 1908, in Brandon, Hillsborough, Florida. Her husband was reputed to be the farmer who produced the most delicious strawberries in the country. They had six children.
Ethel Rawles died in Sarasota, Florida, United States on 5 August 1995, at the age of 110 years, 109 days.
