Etsu Nishiura [Japanese: 西浦ヱツ] (19 February 1905 – c.11 July 2017) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography

Etsu Nishiura was born in Japan on 19 February 1905. Her favourite foods were sushi and sashimi. She ate 2 meals (breakfast and dinner) every day.

In March 2010, Nishiura moved to the nursing home Megumi Aru Nakata in Yao City. At the age of 111, she was still able to read the newspapers.

Nishiura was the oldest living person in Osaka Prefecture since Take Tanaka of Matsubara went to limbo on 28 April 2016. Her age was verified by Japan's MHLW and Stefan Maglov, and validated by the GRG on 13 February 2017.

Etsu Nishiura died in Yao City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan around 11 July 2017 at the age of 112 years, c.142 days.
