Eva Johnson (née McCoy; 30 April 1912? / 3 April 1915 – 24 July 2023) was an American supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Eva Johnson claimed to have been born in Palestine, Texas, USA on 30 April 1912 (3 April 1915 according to the obituary), the oldest of five siblings. She was married twice and was married the second time to O.D. Johnson Sr. for more than 50 years. They had nine children.
As of April 2020, she had 36 grandchildren and well over 70 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In April 2022, she celebrated her claimed 110th birthday.
Eva Johnson lived in Dallas, Texas, USA, and died on 24 July 2023 at the claimed age of 111 years, 85 days. At the time of her death, she was thought to be the third-oldest known living person in Texas, behind Elizabeth Francis and Winnie Felps. According to her obituary, she was born on 3 April 1915. Census documents also show ages as being born between 1914–1918. Going by the obituary date, she most likely died at age 108 years, 112 days.
