Evelyn Vigor (née Davidson; 9 January 1906 - 26 April 2016) is an unverified Australian supercentenarian. Evelyn has been officially named Queensland's oldest living woman.

Biography

She was born in Laidley, Queensland as Evelyn Myrtle Davidson. She met her husband James Edward Vigor, a Kingaroy dairy farmer, in 1929, and married him on 28 November 1931. Before she was married, she had been a horse riding champion and a seamstress. After the marriage, she lived with her husband on a farm near Kingaroy, north-west of Brisbane. The couple had three children: Hedley James (born 1933), Evelyn Jean (born 1934) and Janet Winifred (born 1939). Her husband passed away on 16 June 1981. Her brother, Walter Davidson (born 1915) and her grandson Jason Tilse (born 1976) were both born on same day as Evelyn, on 9 January. Evelyn continued to ride horses into her 80s and has remained positive despite fracturing her hips in her 90s. She also survived breast cancer at 102.

Evelyn Vigor passed away on 26 April 2016 in Brisbane, Australia, aged 110 years, 108 days.
