Fannie Jones (born 21 August 1913) is an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She is currently the oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.
Biography[]
Fannie Jones was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, USA on 21 August 1913. She met a man named Leroy Jones, who would go on to become her husband, through a friend in Arkansas. Her husband worked as a construction worker. The couple were married for many years.
Jones has worked very hard throughout her life. She worked as a field cropper, and she helped to raise her children as well.
Jones's favorite song to listen to is "Amazing Grace". She also enjoys eating beans, cornbread, and spaghetti.
On 1 December 2022, at the age of 109, Jones was presented with a certificate by Centenarians of Oklahoma for being the second-oldest (known) living person in the U.S. state of Oklahoma, after Lois Boston.
In August 2023, Jones celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. For the occasion, Centenarians of Oklahoma presented her with a second certificate for reaching the age of 110.
