Fanny Bruel (18 March 1893 – 29 March 2005) was a French supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was one of the oldest known people in France at the time of her death.
Biography
Fanny Bruel was born on 18 March 1893 in Vieillevie, Cantal, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France. At some point in her life, she moved to the 5th arondissement of Paris (also called Paris V) in Paris, Ile-de-France, France. She never married nor had children. Her sister Anais Cammas (1889–1994) lived to be 104.
Fanny Bruel died on 29 March 2005 in Paris V, Paris, Ile-de-France, France, at the age of 112 years, 11 days. Her claim was verified by Laurent Toussaint and Jean-Marie Robine and validated by the GRG on 17 October 2007, over two years after her death.
