Fatime Ahmeti (1 January 1906 – 3 September 2015) was a Kosovoan centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Kosovo at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Fatime Ahmeti was born in the village of Svirce, municipality of Medvedja, Jablanica District, Kingdom of Serbia (present-day Serbia) on 1 January 1906. She married in the village of Bardhosh near Pristina, Kosovo. She was Albanian by nationality.
She became the oldest known living person in Kosovo, following the death of 107-year-old Syle Tahiri on 24 June 2008. Her eldest brother was more than 100 years old in September 2015.
Fatime Ahmeti died in the village of Bardhosh, Pristina District, Kosovo on 3 September 2015 at the age of 109 years, 245 days. Following her death, then 107-year-old Ahmet Gashi became the oldest known living person in Kosovo.
