Felipa Angelica Cedeno Campuzano [Spanish: Angélica Cedeño] (11 April 1910 – 10 February 2021) was a Ecuadorian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Felipa Cedeno Campuzano was born on 11 April 1910 in Vinces, Los Rios Province, Ecuador. She was born in a hacienda called La Felicidad. Her parents were Flavio Cedeno Leon and Juana Campuzano. She had 18 siblings.

She married Jose Clemente "Clemito" Cedeno Arreaga. The couple had 11 children: Hugo (deceased before 2018), Edith, Dolores, Rufa, Germania (deceased before 2018), Teresita, Alfredo, Justo, Vicente, Patricia and Nestor. After their 9 first children were born, the couple moved from Vinces to Daule.

According to her daughters, Cedeno Campuzano was a devout Catholic and said the rosaire thrice a day. She was a very good cooker, and used to offer some homemade quaker (an Ecuadoran oatmeal beverage) to people who visited her.

In 2012, Cedeno Campuzano celebrated her 102nd birthday at Club de Leones in Daule. Before suffering a stroke at the age of 105, she was still able to walk with a cane and to do some chores. As of March 2018, she was living with one of her daughters, Patricia "Patty" Cedeno. At that time, she spent most of her days in her air-conditioned room, and moved in a wheelchair.

On 10 March 2019, Cedeno Campuzano was honoured for Women's Day. In April 2020, she celebrated her 110th birthday.

Felipa Cedeno Campuzano died in Daule, Guayas Province, Ecuador on 10 February 2021 at the age of 110 years, 305 days.
