Ferencne Vadasz [Hungarian: Ferencné Vadász] (née Anna Fidinger; 26 November 1893 – 8 July 2001) was a Hungarian centenarian who was the oldest known living person in the Hungary at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Ferencne Vadasz was born in Iszkaszentgyorgy, Fejer County, Austria-Hungary (present-day Hungary) on 26 November 1893.
She married and had two children. Her husband was killed in action during the First World War. Anna never remarried, so she was a widow for approximately 85 years.
She mainly worked on the lands in her life, and also spent some time as a housewife and cooking for children in a kindergarten.
She became the oldest known living person in Hungary, following the death of 110-year-old Jozsefne Szucs on 17 December 2000. At the age of 107, she had four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Ferencne Vadasz died in Szekesfehervar, Fejer County, Hungary on 8 July 2001 at the age of 107 years, 224 days. Following her death, then-107-year-old Sandorne Csiki became the oldest known living person in Hungary.
