Shino Mori (9 November 1903 – 23 August 2015) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Shino Mori was born in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan on 9 November 1903.
She had been an announcer since 2006 at Amakusa Television, an internet broadcast station in the city of Amakusa. She was referenced by foreign media as "World's oldest living announcer". In 2008, she interviewed the Prime Minister Taro Aso when he visited the city.
Shino Mori died in Amakusa, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan on 23 August 2015 at the age of 111 years, 287 days. She was survived by her oldest son Yoshimori Mori.
