Florence Middleman (née Goldberg; 13 August 1906 – 3 February 2017) was a Canadian supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known living person in Alberta and oldest Jewish woman in Canada at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Florence Middleman was born in Daysland, Alberta, Canada on 13 August 1906. Her parents were Max and Mollie Goldberg. She had four siblings. Her family moved to Edmonton in 1925.
She married Harry Moe Middleman. The couple had one daughter Janice Middleman. She worked until the age of 68 as a librarian at an elementary school. She was widowed in 1985.
Florence Middleman died in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on 3 February 2017 at the age of 110 years, 174 days.
