Frances Irene Nickels (née Pell; 21 May 1885 (claimed 1884) – 29 March 1996) was an American supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2024.
Biography[]
Frances Nickels was born as Frances Pell in Indiana, United States on 21 May 1885 (claimed 1884). Her parents were George Pell (1853–1949) and Catharine West (1885–1927). She had 9 siblings, including Letha Ashley Alexander (née Pell; 1880–1952).
She was from Harmony Township, Indiana. In September 1912, she married Harvey M. Nickels. They later moved to Greenwood, Indiana.
Frances Nickels died in Indiana, United States on 29 March 1996 at the age of 110 years, 313 days (claimed 111 years, 313 days).
