Maria Francisca Isolina Castillo Carrillo [Spanish: María] (3 November 1906 - 20 December 2016) was a Costa Rican supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group. She was believed to be one of the oldest living people in her country following the death of 110-year old Celina Fernandez Pacheco in 2016.
Biography
Maria Francisca Isolina Castillo Carillo was born in Matina, Guanacaste, Costa Rica as the daughter of Tomas Castillo, a Cuban immigrant. Francisca had her first son, Paul, at the age of 15 and later had four more children. She said that she never married or lived together with a man for any longer period of time because they would get violent while drunk. [1]
Francisca Castillo lived in Mansion, Guanacaste and became a great-great-great-great-grandmother at the age of 106 in 2013.[2] She died on 20 December 2016, at the age of 110 years, 47 days.
