Francisca Mangonez Martinez [Spanish: Francisca Mangonez Martínez] (4 July 1910 – 18 March 2024), known as "Pachita", was a Colombian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known living person in Colombia from the death of 113-year-old Efrain Antonio Rios Garcia on 11 January 2024, until her own death on 18 March 2024

Biography[]

Mangonez Martinez was born in Majagual, Sucre Department, Colombia on 4 July 1910. She never married, but had a partner and three daughters with him. At her 110th birthday in 2020, only her daughter Carlota was still alive.

In July 2020, she celebrated her 110th birthday. In March 2021, at the age of 110, she received a first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, making her one of oldest people to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

She became the oldest known living person in Colombia, following the death of 113-year-old Efrain Antonio Rios Garcia on 11 January 2024.

Mangonez Martinez died in Sucre, Sucre Department, Colombia, on 18 March 2024, at the age of 113 years, 258 days. At the time of her death, she was the last known (documented) living person in Colombia born in 1910 and before 1913. Following her death, then 110-year-old Alfonso Maria Rojas Perdomo became the oldest known living person in Colombia.
