Frantiska Novotna [Czech: Františka Novotná] (19 September 1897 – 31 December 2005) was a Czech centenarian who was the oldest living person in the Czech Republic at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Frantiska Novotna was born in Nove Syrovice, Vysocina County, Austria-Hungary (now Czech Republic) on 19 September 1897. She married and raised two sons and a daughter. At the time of her 108th birthday, only one her son Aldrich, aged 84, was still alive. She spent her entire life in Nové Syrovice, Vysocina County.
She became the oldest living person in the Czech Republic, following the death of 108-year-old Marie Berankova on 5 February 2005.
Novotna died in Nove Syrovice, Vysocina County, Czech Republic on 31 December 2005 at the age of 108 years, 103 days.
