Frederick William Stabbins (18 July 1815 – 22 January 1922) was a British centenarian who was the oldest known living person in the United Kingdom at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Frederick Stabbins was born in Locking, Somerset, UK on 18 July 1815. As a child, Stabbins remembers meeting sailors who served in the battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Stabbins worked in agriculture all his life and said nothing was better for health or fullness.
Stabbins father lived to the age of 90.
He was oldest living man in the world between 27 December 1917 to January 1922. He died in Worle, Weston-super-Marle, UK on 22 January 1922 at the age of 106 years and 188 days. His successor of the oldest person in UK was Jane Lister and he was oldest living man in the Europe after death of German Matthias Dodenhoff in 27 December 1917.
