Lefkowith was born on 15 May 1913. She was married to Max Lefkowith, with whom she had three children. She died in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA on 7 December 2023 at the age of 110 years, 206 days. At the time of her death, she had four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
