Fumi Nonaka [Japanese: 野中フミ] 7 January 1898 – c.10 June 2009 was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Fumi Nonaka was born in Ube, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan on 7 January 1898.
Following the death of 111-year-old Hisa Tokumoto of Shunan on 27 November 2007, Nonaka became the oldest known living person in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
In January 2008, Nonaka celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Nonaka's age was verified by Japan's MHLW, Stefan Gelow, and Tom Li, and validated by the GRG on 13 October 2008.
Fumi Nonaka died at the Jukaisou nursing home [Japanese: 寿海荘] in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan around 10 June 2009 at the age of 111 years, c.154 days.
