Fumi Otani [Ōtani] [Japanese: 大谷フミ] (4 January 1911 – 7 September 2021) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Fumi Otani was born in Japan on 4 January 1911. In January 2021, she celebrated her 110th birthday.
Following the death of 111-year-old Masue Oura on 16 June 2021, Otani became the oldest living person in Nagasaki Prefecture.
Fumi Otani died in Shin-Kamigoto, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan on 7 September 2021, at the age of 110 years, 246 days. Upon her death, then-110-year-old Michi Ideo became the oldest living person in Nagasaki Prefecture.
