Fumie Matsuda (Japanese: 松田フミエ; 31 March 1911 – 19 November 2023) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Fumie Matsuda was born in Japan on 31 March 1911. In March 2021, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.

Matsuda died in Chitose, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan on 19 November 2023 at the age of 112 years, 233 days.

Recognition[]

In September 2022, Matsuda was reported as the fourth-oldest known living person in Hokkaido Prefecture.

In September 2023, Matsuda was reported as the third-oldest living person in Hokkaido Prefecture, after Tane Matsubara and a 112-year-old anonymous woman of Sapporo.

Matsuda's age was verified by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Yumi Yamamoto, Yu Li, and Waclaw Jan Kroczek, and validated by the GRG on 7 May 2023.
