Gabriel Miksa (8 Septmber 1904 – 26 January 2011) was a Czech centenarian who was the oldest known living man in the Czech Republic at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Gabriel Miksa was born in Cesky Tesin, Karvina District, Moravian-Silesian Region, Austria-Hungary, (present-day Czech Republic) on 8 September 1904. Miksa earned his living as a miner and spent 40 years in the mine.
He became the oldest living man in the Czech Republic, following the death of 107-year old Josef Flandera on 6 March 2010.
Gabriel Miksa died in Cesky Tesin, Karvina District, Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic on 26 January 2011 at the age of 106 years, 140 days. Following his death, then 105-year-old Karel Kasparek became the oldest living man in the Czech Republic.
