Biography[]
Georgiana Isadore claimed to have been born in Laborie, Saint Lucia on 1 January 1901. When she was born her father, who was Dominican, was living overseas and her mother died when she was very young. It is suspected that her mother died shortly after giving birth, leaving her in the care of her maternal grandmother "Ma Victor".
She attended the Banse La Grace Infant school, but like many children at that time, she did not attend school past second grade, instead she began helping around the home. Around 1937, she moved at Morne Kabwit. She lived at Morne Kabwit until she was well over 100.
She married Milwad Isadore and had three daughters: Solita (who died when she was in her late 20s), Madeline (born 1925) and Doris (born 27 October 1927). She had 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Georgiana Isadore died in Laborie, Saint Lucia on 8 July 2011 at the claimed age of 110 years, 188 days.
