Gerarda Hurenkamp-Bosgoed (neé Hurenkamp) (5 January 1870 – 25 May 1980) was a validated Dutch supercentenarian. She was born in Gelderland, Netherlands.
Biography
Gerarda Hurenkamp-Bosgoed was born in Terwolde, Gelderland, Netherlands, on 5 January 1870. Her father, Harmannus Lambertus Bosgoed (24 July 1827 – Terwolde, 4 March 1929), reached the advanced age of 101 years and 224 and was, at the time of his death, the oldest living man in Gelderland.[1]
On 9 January 1978, she became the oldest living person in the Netherlands, following the death of Cornelia la Fors-van Geel. On 11 January 1980, she passed the final age of Christina Karnebeek-Backs and became the oldest Dutch woman ever. On 20 May 1980, she passed the final age of Geert Adriaans Boomgaard and became the oldest Dutch person ever. Her Dutch longevity record was broken in 1983 by Petronella Ribbens-Verstallen. She remained the oldest person ever from Gelderland until Christina van Druten-Hoogakker surpassed her age in 1987.
Gerarda Hurenkamp-Bosgoed died in Twello, Gelderland, Netherlands, on 25 May 1980 at age 110 years, 141 days.
