Gertrude "Trudy" Harlow Marshall (née Banks; formerly Moss; 16 October 1902 – 25 October 2013) was a Canadian supercentenarian who has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was one of the oldest known people in British Columbia at the time of her death.

Biography[]

Gertrude Marshall was born in Caledonia, Nova Scotia, Canada on 16 October 1902. Her parents were George Banks and Francess (née Harlow) Banks. She had seven siblings.

She married Charles Moss on 5 November 1934. The couple had at least two children: Charles Moss, Jr. and Betty Inglis. She got widowed in 1949.

She married Dr. Arthur Marshall on 30 December 1969. She got widowed in 1982.

Gertrude Marshall died in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada on 25 October 2013 at the age of 111 years, 9 days. She was survived by one son Charles Moss, Jr.; one daughter Betty Inglis; four grandchildren Catherine Branch, Dave Inglis, Catherine Bauman and David Moss; eight great-grandchildren; three stepchildren Cleland Marshall, Mary Ann Bishop and Ruthe Thiessen and eight step-grandchildren.
