Gihei Oka [Japanese: 岡儀平] (30 January 1883 – 20 September 1991) was a Japanese centenarian who was the oldest living man in Japan at the time of his death.

Biography

Gihei Oka was born in Japan on 30 January 1883.

Following the death of 105-year-old Shiyun Ito on 23 July 1987, Oka became the oldest living person in Tochigi Prefecture. Following the death of 108-year-old Shimetaro Hara on 18 June 1991, he became the oldest living man in Japan.

Gihei Oka died in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan on 20 September 1991, at the age of 108 years, 243 days. He was succeeded as Japan's oldest man by Gengan Tonaki.
