Giuseppe Venturi (13 April 1912 – 26 November 2021) was an Italian centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Italy, following the death of Gaudenzio Nobili until his death. But he was the second-oldest known living man born in Italy, after Delio Venturotti of Brazil.
Biography[]
Giuseppe Venturi was born in Marzabotto, Emilia-Romagna, Italy on 13 April 1912. One of his brothers, Elio, died as a partisan in Montefiorino during the World War II.
He worked as a farmer, bricklayer and gardener before his retirement.
He married a woman called Elena (born 1912). The couple had two children (including Rosanna). His wife died at the age of 56.
He drove a car until he was age 94.
By April 2021, he had already received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
As of April 2021, he had three grandchildren (including Roselena Nigro (aged 47)) and many great-grandchildren (the youngest is three years old and the oldest is 38)
He became the oldest known living man in Italy, following the death of 109-year-old Gaudenzio Nobili on 14 November 2021. Venturi lived with his daughter Rosanna (aged 85 in April 2021).
Venturi died in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy on 26 November 2021 at the age of 109 years, 227 days.
