Gou Zhijie [Chinese: 苟志杰] (4 January 1910 – fl.15 October 2021) was a Chinese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Gou Zhijie claims to have been born on 4 January 1910 in Qing dynasty (China).
On 29 September 2014, Gou went to a representation of the Qin Opera in the Jiaotong University of Xi'an. In 2017, she helped to raised funds to build a temple, who was later named Foguang Temple [Chinese: 佛光寺].
In October 2021, Gou was reported as the oldest living person in Xi'an. She was visited by Li Huixian [Chinese: 李会贤], the director of the Public Security Bureau of Chang'an District, who already visited her in 2019.
Gou Zhijie was last reported to be alive on 15 October 2021 in Beifogoucun, Chang'an District, Xi'an, Shaanxi, China, at the age of 111 years, 284 days.
