Grace Louisa Spooner (née Sarle; 5 July 1872 – 24 July 1982) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Spooner was born as Grace Louisa Sarle in Warwick, Rhode Island, United States, on 5 July 1872 as the second child of Joseph and Mary E. (née Hopkins) Sarle. She had an older brother, Edgar (1871-1963), and a younger brother, James (1874-unknown). By the age of 105, Spooner was living in a retirement home in Live Oak, Florida, where she died on 24 July 1982 at the age of 110 years, 19 days.
