Gregorio Mosqueda (4 January 1907 – 16 May 2014) was an Argentinian centenarian who was one of the oldest known living men in Argentina at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Gregorio Mosqueda was born in Corrientes Province, Argentina on 4 January 1907 (claimed 1903). His parents had a large family and they came to the Chaco Province (allegedly Presidencia Roca) when Gregorio was 11 years old. His father died at the age of 66 and his mother during childbirth. He declared himself as a Peronist and remembered having been treated badly by the radical government.
He was married four times and had 22 children in total. One of his wives was Eva Araujo, who died in 2008. They had eight children: two sons and six daughters.
Mosqueda died in Santa Catalina, neighborhood of Resistencia, Chaco Province, Argentina on 16 May 2014 at the age of 107 years, 132 days (claimed 111 years, 132 days). He was survived by 60 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
