Gretchen Cross was born in Colorado, USA on 23 September 1892. At some point in her life, she moved to Vermont.
In September 2002, Cross celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Gretchen Cross died at the Thompson House Nursing Home in Brattleboro, Vermont, USA on 26 May 2003, at the age of 110 years, 245 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known person living in the U.S. state of Vermont.
