Grete Fastenrath (18 January 1914 – 28 January 2024) was a German supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the the second-oldest known living person in North-Rhine Westphalia, behind Gertrud Pawlik.
Biography[]
Grete Fastenrath was born in Hagen, North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany on 18 January 1914. She never got married and had no kids as she didn't want that her husband would forbid her to work. She survived Covid-19 at the age of 107 in 2021.
In January 2024, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Grete Fastenrath died in Witten, North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany on 28 January 2024 at the age of 110 years, 10 days. She is also the oldest known person ever in Witten.
