Mary Gwendoline "Gwen" Renwick (née Briggs; formerly Waddington; 16 June 1911 – 14 January 2022) was a British supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2024.
Biography[]
Renwick was born in Rawtenstall, Lancashire, England, UK on 16 June 1911. She had two children: John and Robert. She married a man with the surname Waddington. Later, she married a man with the surname Renwick.
She celebrated her 110th birthday in June 2021.
Renwick died in Bedale, North Yorkshire, England, UK on 14 January 2022 at the age of 110 years, 212 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in North Yorkshire.
