Gwenllian Davies (née Jones; 4 October 1905 – 17 January 2016) was a British supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group. She was the oldest living person in Wales at the time of her death.
Biogaphy
Davies was born as Gwenllian Jones in Pontardawe, Wales, UK, one of nine children born to Owen and Hannah Jones. Her husband, Arthur, died in 1970, and the couple had no children. Her farm was often open house to children from the Pontardawe community.
In her later life, Davies lived in a care home in Llandeilo, Wales. She was the oldest living person in Wales from the death of Nellie Robinson on 14 October 2014 until her own death on 17 January 2016 at the age of 110 years, 105 days. Her successor as the oldest person in Wales was Milly Jenkins (1906–2016).
