Hagar Young (née Robertson; 11 October 1898 – 25 November 2011) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known person in the state of Alabama at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Young claimed to have been born in Alabama, USA, on 11 October 1896, but the 1900 US Census lists her as born in October 1898. She had seven children with her husband, who died in 1971.
Young died in Demopolis, Alabama, USA, on 25 November 2011 at age 113 years, 45 days. She had suffered a mini-stroke shortly after her 113th birthday.
