Hana Shindo [Japanese: 新藤ハナ] (29 October 1901 – 20 June 2014) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Shindo was born in Iruma, Saitama Prefecture, Japan on 29 October 1901.
Shindo became the oldest living person in Saitama prefecture following the death of Kou Takayanagi on 8 April 2012. On 13 November 2013, Shindo was visited by the mayor of Tokorozawa, where she lived.
Shindo died in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prfecture , Japan on 20 June 2014 at the age of 112 years, 234 days. Following her death, Sakari Momoi became the oldest living person in Saitama Prefecture.
