Hanako Ishii (born 7 May 1913) is a Japanese supercentenarian who is one of the oldest living people in Chiba Prefecture. Her age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Hanako Ishii was born in Kamogawa, Chiba Prefecture, Japan on 7 May 1913. She got married at the age of 39 and gave birth to her son a year later.
She moved into a nursing home at the age of 100 and later moved into a hospital in Isumi City. On 7 May 2023, she celebrated her 110th birthday.
As a supercentenarian, she remains happy and enjoys singing her favourite songs.
Ishii currently lives in Isumi, Chiba Prefecture, Japan at the age of 111 years, 208 days.
