Hannah Elizabeth Spivey (née New; 10 November 1910 – 18 August 2021) was an American supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2023.
Biography[]
Hannah Spivey was born in La Vernia, Texas, USA on 10 November 1910 to Tilmon T. and Lizzie (Houston) New. She had two sisters Kathryn Schnitz and Harriet E. New and one brother Gail New, all of whom are deceased.
She married Thomas Troy Spivey in November 1928. He died in 1973. She outlived her daughter Adele Goeth, her son-in-law A.C. Goeth, Jr. and three grandchildren Suann Stone, Susan Scott and Randall Troy Goeth.
Hannah Spivey died in La Vernia, Texas, USA on 18 August 2021 at the age of 110 years, 281 days. At the time of her death, she had three living grandchildren (A. Conrad Goeth, III, Cynthia Robinson and Melanie Goeth), 18 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
