Harry Duncan Andrews (19 October 1906 – 16 January 2012) was a New Zealand centenarian who was the oldest living man in New Zealand for 196 days.
Biography[]
Andrews was born in England. One of his sisters, Kitty, lived to the age of 104. He moved to New Zealand in 1938 at the age of 32. He married his wife Jean while on leave from the army and had three daughters: Dorothy, Josephine, and Erica. Andrews enjoyed golfing and gardening.
Following the death of Stephen Todd on 4 July 2011, Andrews was the oldest living man in New Zealand. His grandson, Andrew Whyte, uploaded a video of himself interviewing his grandfather in 2008 on 20 October 2011 to celebrate his 105th birthday.
Andrews died on 16 January 2012 at the age of 105.
