Harry Holtti (11 April 1909 - 27 August 2016) was a Finnish centenarian who at the time of his death was the oldest man in Finland.
Biography[]
Harry Holtti was born on 11 April 1909 in Ostrobothnia, Finland. He was a pacifist and participated in the war as a civilian. In addition to the fact that he was a conscientious objector, he was also one of oldest war veterans in Finland, who also received a medal of merit for his activities as a field game in maintenance duties. In the post-war years, he worked both as a pastor in the Free Church Fria Missionsförbundet and as a teacher. On 11 April 2009, he turned 100. He lived until he was 104 years old in his home in Sundom and was involved in the activities of the Peace League in Ostrobothnia. In 2016 he was awarded the Medal of Merit of the White Rose of Finland.
After the death of Toivo Rantala, he became the oldest man alive in Finland.
He died on 27 August 2016 in Ostrobothnia, Finland, at the age of 107 years, 138 days. Following his death, then 105 years old Kalle Rahomaki became the new oldest man alive in Finland.
