Haru Komai [Japanese: 駒井はる] (somewhere Haru Komagata [Japanese: 駒形はる]; 1 July 1854 – 16 September 1963) was a Japanese centenarian who was the oldest (known) living person in Japan at the time of her death.

Biography

Komai was born in Japan on 1 July 1854. On 29 November 1960, she became the oldest (known) living person in Japan, following the death of Tokusaburo Hatsukade.

Komai died in Mishima, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, on 16 September 1963, at the age of 109 years, 77 days.
