Hassie Louvenia "Lou" Scott (née White; 9 September 1904 – 30 June 2015) was an American supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 2 July 2018.
Biography[]
Hassie Lou Scott was born in Alabama, USA on 9 September 1904. Her parents were George and Annie White. She married Bruce Scott in 1925.
Hassie Lou Scott died of pneumonia at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on 30 June 2015 at the age of 110 years, 294 days. She is survived by one daughter Benzia Jackson, one niece and adopted daughter Virginia Byrd, 5 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
