Hatsuyo Otsuchi [Japanese: 大土ハツヨ] (3 March 1897 – 10 September 2007) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Otsuchi was born in Miyoshi, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, on 3 March 1897.
On 20 November 2005, following the death of 109-year-old Hao Matsumoto of Mihara, Otsuchi became the oldest living person in Hiroshima Prefecture at the age of 108. She lived in Miwacho Shikina in Miyoshi.
Otsuchi died in Miyoshi, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, on 10 September 2007, at the age of 110 years, 191 days. Her age was verified by Japan's MHLW, Hamish Todd and Ken Matsuoka, and validated by the GRG on 20 November 2007.
