Helene Gruat [French: Hélène] (née Rambaud; born 8 March 1913) is a French supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Helene Gruat was born as Helene Rambaud in Paris, Ile-de-France, France, on 8 March 1913. Her birthplace was in Seine department until New Year's Day 1968, when it was incorporated into Paris. Her occupation was an executive secretary, working in Paris.
Gruat lived indepenedently in Gemenos, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France, until 2019 when, at the age of 106, she moved into a nursing home. As of her 108th birthday in 2021, she was in good health and could still walk. She became the oldest living person in Bouches-du-Rhone when Jose Van Zandijcke died
Helene Gruat currently lives in Roquefort-la-Bedoule, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France, at the age of 111 years, 244 days. She is currently the oldest known living person in Bouches-du-Rhone department.
