Helene Pratte-Blake (23 June 1902 – 4 September 2012) was a Canadian-American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Helene Pratte-Blake was born in La Patrie, Quebec, Canada on 23 June 1902. Whilst some early life documentation indicates that she was born in 1901, a baptism was found that confirms she was born in 1902. She moved to the United States with her family in May 1912, settling in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Pratte-Blake was married twice; her first husband was Charles Pratte, with whom she had two sons, Charles Jr. and Lionel. Her second husband was John Blake. In 1997, she moved to St. Louis, Missouri, having lived in Springfield for over 77 years. She outlived both of her husbands and her son Lionel.

Helene Pratte-Blake died in St. Louis, Missouri, USA on 4 September 2012 at the age of 110 years, 73 days. She was survived by her other son Charles, six grandchildren, as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pratte-Blake's age was verified by Anson Davis, Mark Muir, and Oliver Trim, and (posthumously) validated by the GRG on 9 July 2016.
