Hide Endo [Japanese: 遠藤ひで] (13 January 1913 – 1 September 2025) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Biography[]

Hide Endo was born in Shizuoka Pfrefecture, Japan on 13 January 1913. As of her 108th birthday in 2021, she was reading the newspapers every morning. In September 2022, she was reported as the eighth-oldest living person in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Following the death of 110-year-old Kin Horiuchi on 30 December 2022, Endo was reported as the oldest living person in Shizuoka City. In January 2023, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.

Following the death of 114-year-old Masu Usui on 21 May 2025, Endo became the oldest known living person in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Endo's age was verified by MHLW, Japan and Tokuyo To, and validated by the GRG on 24 November 2023.

Hide Endo died in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, on 1 September 2025 at the age of 112 years, 231 days.
