Hilario Cesario Vasconcelos [Portuguese: Hilário Cesário Vasconcelos] (6 March 1911 – 28 June 2022) was a Brazilian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of his death, he may have been the oldest known living man in Brazil.

Biography[]

Hilario Vasconcelos was born in Anajas, Para, Brazil on 6 March 1911. In the past, Hilario worked in the rubber plantations in Anaja, so he had to go through the so-called system of aviation, (which made the rubber tapper practically a slave to the boss), thus, he became one of the men called “Soldado da Borracha”, recruited by the Brazilian government to work in the anajaense rubber plantations during the World War II.

He became the oldest known living man in Brazil, following the death of 112-year-old Delio Venturotti on 1 June 2022.

Hilario Vasconcelos died in Anajas, Para, Brazil on 28 June 2022 at the age of 111 years, 114 days. Following his death, then 110-year-old Virgilio Medeiros became the oldest known living man in Brazil.
