Hilda Wesser (14 August 1911 – 26 February 2022) was a German supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Hilda Wesser was born in Gladitz, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany on 14 August 1911. She worked as a sewer.
Wesser hadn't any children with her husband. She was widowed around 1981. Following a fall, she injured her knee, and began to use a wheelchair. At the age of 105, she can stand a little, and can clean her room with a rag.
In August 2021, Wesser celebrated her 110th birthday. The nursing home where she lived cooked her favourite cake, a Frankfurter Kranz.
Hilda Wesser died in Zeitz, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany on 26 February 2022 at the age of 110 years, 196 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Saxony-Anhalt.
