Hiroko Itakura (Japanese: 板倉弘子; 1 January/28 August 1909 – 28 August 2020) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Itakura was born in Japan, between 1 January and 28 August 1909. Her older brother, Kanae Itakura (1901–1929), was a Japanese painter. Their father was a doctor. Her brother died in Paris, France in 1929, and his paintings that remained there were returned to his family in Japan, specifically his sister, Hiroko.
Itakura died in Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, on 28 August 2020, at the age of 111.
