Huguette Masson (née Bouteloup; 27 June 1904 – 5 March 2018) was a French supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Huguette Masson was born in Le Mans as Eleonore Huguette Bouteloup. She was the only daughter of a butcher, who lived next to the viaduct. She had to work at the age of 15 after the death of her parents. In 1927 she married Roger Masson, a plasterer. Throughout her life she supported him by managing his accounting. The couple had two sons: Yves (born in 1928) and Joel (born in 1934). She cycled until she was 103 years old. She lived independently in her home up to the age of 105, when she moved into a nursing home in Jean-Jaures, Le Mans.
Masson died in Le Mans, France, on 5 March 2018 at the age of 113 years, 251 days. At the time of her death, she was the third-oldest living person in France, behind Lucile Randon and Gabrielle des Robert.
