Ine Atarashiya (Japanese: 新屋イネ; 6 September 1899 – 8 May 2012) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Ine Atarashiya was born in Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, on 6 September 1899.
Ine Atarashiya died in a nursing home in Shibuki, Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan on 8 May 2012 at the age of 112 years, 245 days. Her eldest son, Kamematsu, was still alive at that time, aged 90. At the time of her death, she was the 22nd-oldest living validated person in the world.
